MARY WISSMAN WEEKS AWARD

This award - originally sponsored by the Hoosier Ladies Aside,  Inc - is to honor our fallen comrade Mary Weeks.
Mary was a lifelong horsewoman and was the President of the ISHA at her passing.
Mary was known for her love of, and connection with, her horses - the last being WRA Summer's Kiss. Mary and a friend rescued Summer from near starvation and Summer and Mary went on to win many awards both astride and sidesaddle.
Mary's favorite was the award she received at an all Egyptian Show in Kentucky that was recognizing her partnership with Summer and was voted on by the show staff - from judges, ring stewards, announcers, etc.
Therefore,  the HLA and now ISHA have elected to give this award for just those qualities of Partnership,Connection, and Cooperation that Mary and Summer exemplified.
