GENERAL INFORMATION

The ISHA approved IHJA shows are one of the most accessible hunter/jumper shows. The show tends to be more relaxed overall, but do follow all USEF H/J rules. Canterbury Manor Stables schooling shows are friendly, to novice riders, families inexperienced to the hunter/jumper discipline, and green horses.

These shows offer a Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP) Exhibitors must apply for a horse/rider combination number before signing up for classes at the show office. There is a high point year-end award and unique ribbons for the TIP classes and high point awards at each show.

Canterbury offers a Medal class at each show (equitation in two phases - over fences and on the flat). Fences are set at 2'. The September show offers a CM finals with unique ribbons and a trophy. One need only show in one Canterbury Medal class in one show prior to the Medals Final to be eligible.

These shows offer a Very Green Hunter division. The classes are VG Hunter W/T, VG Hunter W/T/C and VG Hunter over cross poles.
